Description:
The OPC Server for Allen-Bradley PLCs is an OPC 2.0
compliant server that enables data interchange between the
DD-Connect RTXHDB OPC Client and Allen-Bradley PLCs. The OPC
Server provides read access to basic and structured PLC
register types in PLC-5 and SLC-500 PLCs.
Communication occurs using RS-LINX, which controls
connections via RS-232, DH+, or Ethernet. Please note that the DD-Connect RTXHDB OPC Client only
uses the read access function to store data on the RTXHDB
historical database and does not use the write access
function. The OPC server is self-optimizing and
auto-configuring to provide easy, efficient, and reliable
data transfer.
