Servers are available on your system. You can browse and remote machines.

A: The purpose of the Database Explorer is to view the current status
of the historical databases. You can view a list of databases, database
subsets, and variables contained in each subset. You can also select a
database, subset, or variable and view its properties.

Q: What is the purpose of the Notes Editor
in the tools folder?
A: The purpose of the Notes Editor is to add, delete, and edit the
notes attached to values in the historical database. These annotations can
be added to explain values that are out of the norm, for example when a
plant upset occurs or a value is bad due to a failed instrument etc. Notes
can be viewed using several filters provided. For example, you can filter
on notes attached to a particular database, subset, or variable. You can
also view notes over a specified time span.
